Founded in 2005, Juneyao Airlines is one of two privately-owned airlines approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China. In 2015, the company founded 9 Air, a low-cost carrier based in Guangzhou. Juneyao Airlines completed an IPO on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in May 2015, with ticker 603885.
